British Open Paramotor Championships 2024: 18th – 23rd June 2024
The British Open Paramotor Championships are the official annual event through which the UK’s most talented pilots challenge each other in XC navigation, flight planning, and aircraft control skills for the prestigious British Open Paramotor Champion and British National Paramotor Champion trophies.
The event scoreboard is also used as the primary basis for selection of the British Paramotor Team who compete international FAI World Championships. As a parallel Open Championship scoring stream, foreign pilots are welcomed to raise the competition level, and the event is sanctioned as FAI Cat. 2, with pilot scores eligible for the FAI (CIMA) World League Cup.
The British Open Paramotor Championships 2024 are now confirmed to take place at Manston Airport, Kent between the 18th and 23rd June 2024. This includes an extra day of flying from 2023.

First official competition briefing ONLINE at 20:00 BST Wednesday 12th June 2024. This briefing is intended to provide all key information regarding the format and instructions for the championship, reducing the length of time needed for the first on-site briefing. It will be recorded for anyone who cannot attend live, but all pilot are encouraged to join so that you have the opportunity to ask questions etc. The link will be posted here nearer the time.
Pilots may arrive on site from Monday 17th of June 2024

Anticipated awards ceremony 12:00 BST Sunday 23rd June 2024
Reserve flying in case of bad weather will take place in the morning of Sunday 23rd Juny before a delayed prize giving.
Entry fees and costs:
Standard pilot entry fee for 2024 £120. Fees include all competition maps, camping, use of shower, toilet, and water facilities. For registrations after the 11th June, a £20 late entry surcharge is applicable.

Facilties on-site:
Showers and toilets will be provided on site, along with briefing / social marquee.
Catering:
We have arranged for an on-site caterer who will be serving breakfast, lunch, and evening dinner meals available to purchase from the main event marquee during each day of the championships. Example menus:
Breakfast: sausage / bacon / egg baps, plus cereal or non-cooked option, with tea, coffee, or water.
Lunch: selection of grab and go sandwiches or salads, with tea, coffee or water.
Dinner: 1 x meat, 1 vegan, 1 x fish dish with starches and vegetables, with tea, coffee or water,
Meal themes will vary, with BBQ evening and other themes i.e. Italian, Chinese, Indian food. More detail to be provided soon.
The Naafi Café at the RAF Manston History Museum serves serves homemade breakfasts, family favourite light bites, such as sausage rolls, breakfast butties and a delicious range of homemade cakes and afternoon teas. Opening hours 10:00 to 16:00.
Accommodation:
Camping is available on site with shower and toilet facilities. We cannot confirm at this time if we will be able to provide power hookup for the campsite / camper vans, but power will definitely be available in main marquee for charging devices. Camping is free for competitors and sponsors. Guests are asked to pay £5 per person per night.
If you prefer not to camp, we have two recommended options within 5 minutes drive:
The Premier Inn Ramsgate (Manston Airport) hotel and the Holiday Inn Ramsgate both offer low price hotel rooms approx 2 miles from the championship site.
The Manston Court Holiday Park offers static caravans or cabins and is offering a discount if you state that you are attending our event.

Trading at the event is exclusively reserved for official championship sponsors.
