
The British Open Paramotor Championships will take place between the 16th and 21st of June at Deenethorpe Airfield.
The site sits on the east side of Corby town, on an ex-RAF base. It played home to the 2024 FAI Microlight Championships.
FAI Category 2:
The BOPC2026 will be officially registered as an FAI Cat. 2 event. Pilots who hold FAI sporting licenses will be able to count their ranking in this championship towards the CIMA World League Cup rankings.

Dates:
First official competition briefing ONLINE approximately one week before the event (exact date TBC). This briefing is intended to provide all key information regarding the format and instructions for the championship, reducing the length of time needed for the first on-site briefing. It will be recorded for anyone who cannot attend live, but all pilot are encouraged to join so that you have the opportunity to ask questions etc. The link will be posted here nearer the time.
Pilots may arrive on site from Tuesday 16th of June 2026.

In exceptional circumstances due to bad weather, reserve flying may take place in the morning of Sunday 21st June before a delayed prize giving.
Entry fees and costs:
Standard pilot entry fee for 2026 £160. Fees include all competition maps, camping, use of shower, toilet, and water facilities.
For registrations after the 16th May, a £40 late entry surcharge is applicable.
Official competition T-shirts can be booked at registration for an additional fee of £10.

Showers and toilets will be provided on site, along with briefing / social marquee.

Accommodation:
Camping will be available on site with shower and toilet facilities. We cannot confirm at this time if we will be able to provide power hookup for the campsite / camper vans, but power will definitely be available in main marquee for charging devices. Camping is included in the fees for competitors and sponsors. Guests are asked to pay £5 per person per night.
If you prefer not to camp, there are other accommodation options nearby.
